The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from November 2023. A profile report sets the focus for the school’s next improvement cycle with ERO rather than giving a full set of findings.
ERO and the school chose to look at how well manaakitanga practices engage learners and help them reach equitable outcomes in mathematics, because mathematics results were not yet equitable. ERO identified leaders building a learner-centred kaupapa focused on wellbeing, systems that reflect the community’s priorities, and a local curriculum drawing on the stories of Moturoa and Ngāmotu.
The school’s priorities are to check how widely manaakitanga practices are understood and used, build teachers’ capability in mathematics, develop a shared view of engagement in mathematics, and agree what accelerated progress looks like.

Enrolling
Students who live in the home zone are entitled to enrol, and proof of address may be needed.
